United Launch Alliance (ULA)

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is an American company that offers spacecraft launch services. It produces and manages a variety of rocket vehicles that can send satellites into orbits around the Earth and to distant planets in the Solar System. A joint partnership between Boeing Defense, Space & Security, and Lockheed Martin Space creates the business. Delta IV Heavy, Atlas V, and the medium-lift Delta II are ULA's disposable launch vehicles for launches until 2018. Satellites for weather, communications, national security, scientific probes, and orbiters have been launched using the Atlas, Delta IV Heavy, and the recently decommissioned Delta IV launch vehicles. ULA also conducts commercial launches.
